SARAH MARIE DAY

Title: Co-Founder

Nationality: German

College education: Fashion Design in Paris & Fashion Journalism in Germany

What did you want to be when you grew up: Fashion journalist, interior designer

Passion: Anything design from fashion, fabrics, art, graphic design to architecture, and I love reading, good food & good conversations with inspiring people

Why you do what you do: Because I believe in a future fashion industry where garments are highly valued again. Where handcraft and local production blossom, where fair working conditions are a given, the planet is considered as a stakeholder and yet the design elements stay creative and innovative. I want to help create this movement by showing an alternative way to consume fashion and by introducing you to people who are a positive example towards a new chapter in the fashion industry

Three key items from your closet: A well-tailored blazer, crisp white collar shirts with an interesting detail & turtlenecks (I am obsessed with turtlenecks, I’ve got cotton ones with no sleeves for summer, I’ve even got one for working out!)

Guilty pleasure: Sushi & dark chocolate

Fun fact: Was a ballet dancer for 10 years & have a collection of about 500 fashion magazines at home (that will be one heavy moving!)

Title: Co-Founder

Nationality: American

College education: Art & Visual Technology in Washington DC

What did you want to be when you grew up: Professional athlete or politician to be able to help people

Why do you do what you do: I’ve always enjoyed contributing to a greater cause through collaboration and team work. In photography, I have the need to communicate creatively and I can contribute best when working with a team. In fashion, there is always a great conversation to be had. I believe it’s important to encourage the ideas of others and join them in conversation. What a dream to be able to contribute to the dialogue and potentially make a difference

Three key items from your closet: Actually, here’s four! Cigarette pants, preferably made out of cotton, a good quality blue or white collar shirt, a good quality white T-Shirt and leather belts. My favorite ones I bought in a small shop in Paris from a gentleman who makes all his products by hand

Guilty pleasure: Popcorn and lots of it

Fun fact: Former all American swimmer in college

Title: Journalist

Nationality: British

College education: Fashion Communication & Styling in Paris

What did you want to be when you grew up: Fashion designer, wedding planner

Why you do what you do: When I was younger I would read through the iconic fashion magazines, but I didn’t see anything I could connect with, in terms of consideration for the environment and people. Writing is one of my passions in life and I feel that through reaching out to others in a kindhearted manner I can help to inform them that there is always a positive solution to be found. For me it is important to create the hope that there is a brighter future ahead for the fashion industry. My contribution is to communicate in a more considerate and positive way and to demonstrate that there is a more equitable and more ethical business model that can work for both people and the planet

Three key items from your closet: My gold medallion necklace I bought in a market at a Jazz Festival in the South of France, vintage gold chain bracelet from my granny and my Monica Vinader ring (I’m obsessed with jewellery!)

Guilty pleasure: Galaxy chocolate and watching Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Fun fact: I love collecting vinyl!
