03 // LE BACKLESS TOP BY ALFIE PARIS
Brand: Alfie Paris
Founded by Alice Fresnel
Based in Paris, France
Founded in 2020
Long story short: The brand’s slogan is ‘Borrowed from the Boys’ - Alice takes staples from the men’s wardrobe (think boxer shorts, collar shirts or cargo pants) and redesigns them for women. Her pieces are elegant, perfectly tailored and exclusively made from leftover Haute Couture fabrics. The tag of each garment tells you where the fabric was originally used and how many pieces of this design exist.
Mission: Creating beautiful designs for women that are just as comfortable as men’s garments. Alice wants to find the perfect balance between masculinity and femininity in her designs.
“During my studies at Parsons it was just seen as normal that if you want to have a fashion brand in the 21st century, it has to be sustainable.” - Alice
